Lindsay Holler & The Dirty Kids

www.lindsayholler.net

Would it be fair to tag local singer/songwriter Lindsay Holler as the Kate Bush, Björk, or Joni Mitchell of the local music scene? Of course not. Her powerful and beautiful music is tough to define and too good to bother with silly comparisons. Holler works with elements of jazz, classical, roots-rock, and deep folk styles. Her collaborations with members of A Decent Animal and a gang of CofC music cats calling themselves The Dirty Kids (Ben Wells, Nick Jenkins, Michael Hanf, Dave Linaburg, and others) have become more musically adventurous with every step. The weird instrumentation and complex arrangements of her original songs are only part of the fun.
