We’ve written about John Zucker’s macaroni and cheese a lot over the years. But this is a Best Of issue and we feel compelled to bring your attention, once again, to this incredible concoction. It’s made with four cheeses — pepper jack, aged cheddar, fontina, and mozzarella — and eschews traditional elbow noodles for a fatter shell pasta that gently cradles all that goo. Served in an oval baking dish, this mac and cheese will set you back probably a couple thousand calories, but who cares? This is no time to be watching your diet.
