The people behind popular restaurants Raval, Taco Boy, and Poe’s Tavern opened up another gem this past summer with Monza, a chic yet affordable brick-oven pizza joint. The thin-crust, Neapolitan-style pies (our favorite is the Materassi, a deliciously simple tomato sauce/mozzerella/basil combo) is enough to set this place apart from others around town, not to mention the fresh, original salads and cool decor. But the thing that brings it all together is the staff, particularly the sexy guys slinging pies in the kitchen (open for all to see, lucky us). Muscular, tattooed, and glistening with sweat due to the hot ovens, these guys bring out the cougar in all of us — they’re the perfect entertainment while you’re chowing down on your crispy pizza. The waitresses are pretty good lookin’ too. Hey, if you don’t want to be objectified, stop being so damn attractive.
