The Irish are a great and proud people who’ve done a lot of great things they should be proud of. We don’t need to go into the number of poets, writers, musicians, and actors that have made life just that much more worth living. Which is why it’s so odd that the folks at McCaffrey’s let folks walk all over the hard work of the Irish. See, the entire bar, from the walls to the tables to the well-scuffed hardwood floors, was built in Ireland and shipped here. So next time you step into McC’s and step down on those black plank timbers on the floor, show a little respect and take off your shoes. (Actually, you don’t need to do that. Just buy a pint of Guinness.)
