Getting a bunch of notoriously independent skaters together for anything is like herding cats. But the organizers of Pour It Now have done just that. In an effort to raise money and get the word out, Pour It Now hosts nearly monthly events that have ranged from a Battle of the Bands at the Map Room to a gourmet tasting and silent auction at Lana. They hope to get land and some money from the city, but things are still up in the air. The alternative is something Charleston would have to deal with anyway. As Pour It Now says, “If your city doesn’t have a skatepark, your city IS a skatepark.”
