If you live east of the Cooper River, one of the best ways to beat weekday desk-chair lethargy and get a good workout is to head to the beach in the evenings — especially once the days get longer. Grab your running shoes or bike and head to Sullivan’s Island, where, if your timing’s good, you can run/bike your way right into the sunset. You’ll end up at the end of the island, facing Charleston Harbor, where you might even catch some dolphins playing in the golden water as the ships sail past. It’s so picturesque it almost hurts. Sounds a bit better than the gym, no?
