Has anyone else noticed that the beer selection at the Harbor View Pig jumped in the last year from Bud/Coors/Miller to about a hundred different six-packs you’ve never even heard of, but can’t wait to try? Piggly Wiggly decided to beef up their beer and wine selections on James Island last year, hiring former Earth Fare manager Nicholas Long to handle the task. After a year of tasting and picking out porters, stouts, and Rieslings for a living, the Pig’s management was impressed enough with the progress at Harbor View that they’ve expanded his position to their stores across the region. If it’s not there already, look forward to picking up a six-pack of Leinenkugels at your local Pig very soon.
