Georgia/Alabamy rockers The Drive-By Truckers will perform (for their third time!) live on NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien tonight (Tues. March 11) with legendary Muscle Shoals keyboardist Spooner Oldham on board. The band — Patterson Hood, Mike Cooley, John Neff, Shonna Tucker, and Brad Morgan — recently released a double-length collection titled Brighter Than Creation’s Dark. Their label New West Records calls the 19-song album a “Southern gothic rock ’n’ roll masterpiece.”The Truckers are on the road through the South and the Northeast this month and plan to make appearances at a number of summer festivals, including Mountain Jam, Bonnaroo and Rothbury Festival.
