Two Republicans filed Monday for the Statehouse seat being vacated by Ben Hagood. Mt. Pleasant Councilman Joe Bustos and Isle of Palms Mayor Mike Sottile will run for the seat.
County Coroner Rae Wooten is running for reelection against fellow-GOPer Robert Dunlap.
County Council Chairman Tim Scott filed for the seat left open by outgoing Rep. Tom Dantzler representing portions of Berkeley and Charleston counties.
Rep. Wallace Scarborough, Sens. Glenn McConnell and Chip Campsen, Auditor Peggy Mosley, Clerk of Court Julie Armstrong, Treasurer Andy Smith, and County Councilman Curtis Bostic all filed for reelection.
