James Island resident Eugene Platt, who lost his 2006 challenge to Rep. Wallace Scarborough by just a few dozen votes, will take another stab at the Statehouse office. He filed Monday to again run as a Democrat for the district seat. Scarborough, a Republican, also filed Monday.

Other Monday filings in included County Councilwoman Colleen Condon and Rep. Robert Brown.
