NOTE: These are confirmed filings only. Candidates have until March 30 to file.

Democrat Colleen Condon is getting a little more competition for her Charleston County Council seat. Last week, Republican Mark Peper announced he’d be running to challenger her, and now there’s word that fellow GOP candidate Joey Douan is also looking to take the seat.

In other filing news, Democrat Henry Middleton has filed to challenge Republican County Coroner Rae Wooten in November.

And Democrat Clay Middleton has officially filed for the seat being vacated by exiting Rep. Floyd Breeland. Charleston City Councilman Wendell Gilliard, also a Democrat, filed earlier last week for the seat.
