Britney Spears’ performance at the MTV Music Awards.
Okay, I’m kidding. After Palin’s performance, look for suggestions that she’s more popular than McCain (which isn’t exactly a bad thing for John McCain). Look for comparisons in regards to audience and delivery between McCain and both Palin and Obama.
Here’s a few things we hope we don’t hear in the McCain speech, but that we’ll probably have to suffer through:
• Anything else about those damn columns: It was the West Wing for Pete’s sake.
• Bad mouthing of community organizers: They’re more popular than most mayors and certainly more popular than long-serving members of Congress. This is particularly offensive to the black community, but they aren’t really chasing those votes.
• Excuses for clumsy statements ($5 million, seven homes) because McCain was a POW: With all due respect to his service and sacrifice, talk about a whiner.
