My “opposition ear” as I like to call it picked up on a line in Barack Obama’s new 2-minute ad that I knew we’d be hearing again from the McCain camp. In Obama’s effort at honesty-wordiness, he said that anyone making less than $200,000 would see a tax cut. He hasn’t changed his tax policy, the campaign probably just saw this as a better way of packaging the tax increase for folks making over $250,000. You see, those in the middle will essentially be unaffected in Obama’s tax policy.

But, what it did was throw another number in the equation at a time when Obama doesn’t need it. Both John McCain and Sen. Lindsey Graham mentioned the $200,000 number on the Sunday morning shows today, either truley confused or knowlingly trying to decieve the public that Barack Obama’s tax policy has somehow changed. Take your pick.

It’s going to be a long nine days and the only thing Obama has to do to win is to keep from loading the cannon for the Republicans.
