The Post and Courier reports today about the front porches of Charleston that President-elect Barack Obama mentioned in his acceptance speech Tuesday night.
The stories in the P&C piece are first rate, but I’d add Obama’s reference to the schools in Dillon, S.C. in his “Yes, We Can” speech earlier in the campaign.
Barack Obama didn’t just marvel at the people and places he visited in South Carolina, he was moved by them. This may have been Bush country for eight years, but Barack Obama will be a president who will not forget South Carolina.
