The line-up for the 2009 Charleston Comedy Festival hasn’t been officially announced. But we got a sneak peek at the line-up this week. It looks like God’s Pottery is finally coming back to the Lowcountry for another string of shows featuring the duo’s ironic hymnals to the Allmighty.
The comedy fest is organized by Theatre 99 and The Have Nots! Each year, it promises more yuks than you can shake a rubber chicken at. Other return engagements include: Hot Sauce (in-your-face sketch comedy), I Eat Pandas (musical improv), The Pushers (sketch), Buffoons (SNL-like sketch), and Kenny Zimlinghaus (stand-up).
Other performances include: Cook County Social Club, Get Hypnotized!, Rory Scovel and Jon Steinberg, FUCT, Roseville: A Suspenseful Comedy, J. Reid, Peter Gross: Magic and Other Suspect Activities. And don’t forget about local favorites like Moral Fixation, Neckprov, The Banana Monologues, Full Love Throttle, 3 Play, Doppelganger!, Big Dicktionary. —John Stoehr
