It’s the days after Christmas, and all through the house everyone’s asking, what now? How about a hockey game? Charleston’s coolest sports team, the Stingrays, will be in town for a string of games over the next few weeks, with some fun promotions thrown in. On Sat. Dec. 27, they play the Mississippi Sea Wolves, and you can bring your unwanted Christmas present and exchange it for a new one at the Bad Christmas Gift Exchange. The following day, besides playing the Sea Wolves again, they’ll be hosting a Kids’ Day, featuring a pre-game carnival at 3:30 p.m. Tickets for kids are $5 at the door and include post-game autographs on the concourse and a youth jersey giveaway. On New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31), the ’Rays will play the Wolves again, followed by a balloon drop after the game. For 2009, the Stingrays play the Gwinnett Gladiators on Jan. 2, the Sea Wolves once again on Jan. 4, and the Charlotte Checkers on Jan. 6. And did we mention they have $2 beer all year? You might just want to try to make it to every game. —Erica Jackson Dec. 27, 12 p.m. Dec. 31, Jan. 2, 6, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 28, Jan. 4 5 p.m. $14-$19.
