There’s a lot of political correctness in the world. Few bridle at that more than the Pushers. This Norfolk, Va.-based sketch comedy troupe knows where the boundaries of politeness are, and they do what they can to push them.

Hence, their name.

Comedy, say the Pushers, is casting light on what H.G. Wells said about moral indignation: It’s jealousy with a halo. What does that mean? They’re not really sure, but it evidently has something to do with sex.

That is, if their website is any indication. There, you’ll find all kinds of videos of the Pushers’ edgy shtick, including one in which two white suburban housewives with prim haircuts and sensible shoes get together over coffee to gossip and trade stories about husbands and kids.

The moment suddenly turns confessional, even conspiratorial, and it looks like one of those secret mujer-y-mujer talks about that not-so-fresh feeling.

Which isn’t too far off. Hint: It’s about lube.
