Food and wine lovers can get a jump on Valentine’s Day tonight at High Cotton’s Domaine Carneros Sparkling wine dinner.

The special guest of the evening will be head winemaker Eileen Crane, who will discuss the wines of Domaine Carneros, a world-class producer of sparkling wines and Pinot Noir in the heart of Carneros, California. If you’ve never been to a wine dinner with a winemaker, then you’ve been missing out. It’s so fascinating to hear a passionate producer discuss what makes their wines different from the thousands of other varietals out there.

Plus, the food’s usually pretty stellar at these things too. An hors d’oeuvres reception kicks off the night at 6:30 p.m., followed by Chef Anthony Gray’s four-course dinner.

Let’s see, on the menu we’ve got Pecan-Fried Goat Cheese, Buttermilk Fried Oysters, House Cured Salmon, Roast Saddle of Carolina Rabbit, and Bison Strip Loin Au Poivre. Sounds pretty interesting.
