Charleston Mayor Joe Riley will be back in Washington on Friday to meet with President Obama and other federal officials, along with some 60 other municipal leaders. We should note that he is the only mayor from South Carolina on the attendance list. No doubt the stimulus will come up. By our estimation this may be the fifth trip (and the fourth to Washington) that Riley has taken in support of the stimulus.
After meeting with Obama, the mayors will have a session with environmental, energy, and justice department officials.
