The Charleston market is getting another hand-crafted beer. Foothills Brewing Company in Winston-Salem, N.C. will be sold in local bars and at the Charleston Beer Exchange, but not until mid-March.

To get your tastebuds ready, the Foothill guys will be in town this weekend for a couple of events to celebrate their debut. Tonight, at 5 p.m., they’ll be at the Beer Exchange, which will feature Foothills’ brews on all of their taps.

According to Scott at the Beer Exchange, it’ll include Pilot Mountain Pale Ale, Torch Pilsner, Hoppium IPA, People’s Porter, Seeing Double IPA, “and maybe a couple of other special surprises.”

Get your growlers and go.

On Saturday night, they’ll be at the Mellow Mushroom downtown, letting diners and Beer Club members get a taste of five different brews.

Brewmaster Jamie Bartholomaus, who believes drinking fresh beer is one of the great pleasures in life (and we don’t disagree), will be on hand at both places to talk about his brewery and hand out some giveaways.

This will be the only taste you’ll get of Foothills until mid-March, when the product will hit Charleston’s markets permanently.
