The City of Charleston is continuing to two-way all of our one-way roads. The latest victims are Spring and Cannon streets. Officials are considering going two ways on Coming Street, but they’ll have to pull that primo peninsula escape route from my cold, dead hands.
Here’s one of the latest NonCensus survey question and two of the four possible answers:
3. The City of Charleston recently announced that it would be turning the high speed freeways known as Coming and Spring streets into pedestrian-friendly, two-way urban streets (the horror!). Now that you will have more time to kill sitting in downtown traffic, what are you going to do?
A. Start taking random side streets to really freak out that chick in your GPS unit.
C. Bum around the house for an extra 20 minutes in the morning and blame the traffic when you get to work.
