We first saw a tub of this stuff at Piggly Wiggly last year — Palmetto Cheese, “the pimento cheese with soul.” Unlike any grocery store version we’d ever seen, it looked homemade. So, like a good foodie, we scooped it up and took it home and gobbled it down. As the package says: “real cheese, real southern, real good.” And the jalapeño version is insane. Try it on your burger next time you have a backyard cookout and you’ll be convinced. It’s so good, we have a hard time not eating the entire 12-ounce container in one sitting. In addition to the Pig, you can find it at Publix, Bi-Lo, and Food Lion. Go get you some.
