Alligator
Some folks prefer beef. Some folks prefer chicken. Some like pork. Some like possum. And some like gator. Last year, gator hunting was legalized in South Carolina, and according to reports, some 1,000 permits were issued to hunters. Of course, seeing as how this is the Palmetto State, there was a problem — the state Department of Natural Resources announced that nearly 200 more gators were bagged than expected. Sorry ’bout that.
