While venue panic spread throughout the city in 2008, a brand new theater company set up shop — surprise, surprise — without a venue. Little City brought a refreshing musical spin to the local theater scene with their debut, Jason Robert Brown’s Songs for a New World, which they performed at South of Broadway Theatre in April, and The Rocky Horror Show, which they staged at the Terrace Theatre in October. Co-Founder Ralph Prentice Daniel recently left to pursue his acting career in Tampa, and Musical Director Robbi Kenney has since taken the helm, but it’s our hope that this creative little company will continue to add color to the local scene. Even without a venue, we’d say they’re doing pretty darn all right.
