Skoogie’s

840-C Coleman Blvd. Mt. Pleasant

(843) 884-0172

Best known for its genuine Chicago-style hotdogs (made from Vienna beef), this old Mt. Pleasant lunchtime hot spot (adjacent to Dunkin’ Donuts) excels in a few delicatessen classics as well. Toasted to a perfect crispiness, Skoogie’s hot pastrami and swiss is terrific. They slice the pastrami paper-thin, sauté it briefly, and pile it high. Order it with spicy brown mustard and a side of thin-cut string fries.
