Local jewelry designers Michelle Fowler and Jennafer Bryan have cultivated quite a following of loyal ladies who can’t get enough of their unique designs. They own the Scarlet Poppy, and their creations are just as pretty as the name. They may not have a shop, but you can find them at the Farmer’s Market in Marion Square where they will gladly tell you the history behind each one-of-a-kind piece. All of their lovely baubles are on display, but it’s the reinvented vintage necklaces that take center stage. They use precious, semi-precious, antique, and vintage pieces from around the world (think exotic locales like Tibet) to create jewelry that really makes a statement. Once you find out the past behind your vintage Persian hand-painted necklace, you’ll never want to take it off. —
