Rosebank Farms, way out on the road to Kiawah, is a backcountry wonderland. They have rose gardens you can wander through, fresh flower bouquets cut straight out of the fields, a macaw named Bab-ba-lu, and a miniature cow they call I-Declare, plus goats, pigs, bunnies, a miniature horse, and a mule. You can buy homemade preserves, fresh seafood pulled from the area’s waters, heirloom produce, cookies, pies, and cakes. If that’s not enough to entice you out there, they’ve got a schoolhouse museum, local art, and a ton of events for the family planned throughout the growing season. It’s a fun way to pass a beautiful spring afternoon. While you’re there, stock up on fresh produce and prepare yourself an epic feast of local food.
