We tried to do our part, but apparently naming B’Zar, Global Awakening, Wonderland, Nancy Koltes, and Mio Stile Critic Picks in our 2008 Best of Charleston issue couldn’t help these King Street boutiques stay open through 2009. Let’s have a moment of silence for these stores that added so much to Charleston’s shopping scene. And now, we are making a special counter attack this year by calling out the recession before it can do any more damage. Economy, we are smacking you and calling you our bitch.
