Dare to Die. Sounds downright threatening, which is just right for Carolyn Hart’s fans, who just eat up her novels full of drama and mystery.

The Pulitzer Prize-nominated author is going to be in the Holy City signing copies of her newest novel at the Charleston Library Society (164 King St.) on Thur. April 16 at 7 p.m.

The new novel, which is based on the sea island of Broward’s Rock, begins with the arrival of a mysterious and beautiful young woman named Iris, who stirs up age-old drama in the small, quaint town. The usual crazy conundrums and horrible murders ensue.

Seems like something definitely worth checking out. For more information, call (843) 723-9912 or go to www.charlestonlibrarysociety.org—Reina Gascon-Lopez
