The Charleston Symphony Orchestra is teaming up with the Youth Orchestra of the Lowcountry (YoLow) for a concert on Sat. March 21 at 7 p.m. at Wando High School. YoLow began in 1970s as a string program in the Charleston County Schools, and has transformed into a group of auditioned instrumentalists hailing from all over coastal Carolina. These talented instrumentalists have performed at the 2008 Spoleto Festival, with the National Youth Orchestra of Uruguay, and for the 2009 South Carolina Music Educators Association. This concert with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra will feature three winners of the annual YoLow Concerto Competition.
