The creators of Blume, Blume II, and Blume III are back with reBlume, the fourth of the quarterly art shows to take over Pantheon. Judging by the popularity and success of the past three, reBlume promises to outdo itself this time. The event, which is organized by a group of local artists and students, is the synthesis of a high quality art show with a big-city club feel, with sounds from a series of local DJs, including DJ Pericles, Covingtron, CMNDer, and DJ Sonar. As usual, they will have plenty of art for sale, live painting, customized T-shirt screen-printing by Manufactur, and an outdoor video lounge where they’ll be presenting animated shorts by CofC video artists and interactive displays by Street Level Labs. In addition to giving local artists a chance to shine, the event will help jump-start an environmentally conscious art-outreach program with LEEP. So, if you want a look into the underground art and music culture of Charleston wrapped up into one night, reBlume is your best bet this week. —Hadley Lyman.
