The Charleston Stage Company is rounding out its season with The Producers. The Mel Brooks musical is the winner of 12 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

The Charleston rendition is directed by Associate Artistic Director Marybeth Clark with guest Musical Director Jose Simbulan and choreography by Michael Lasris and Sarah Claire Smith.

This is not a show for the kids. It’s full of over-sexed, crass, stereotyped characters that make for a hilarious evening.

The story follows a Broadway producer and his accountant who produce a sure-to-fail show called Springtime for Hitler in a get-rich scheme.

The show runs April 15-26 at the Sottile Theater. Tickets range from $10-$35 with a pay-what-you-will night to fit every budget on April 15.
