Warm weather is synonomous with the Farmer’s Market for a lot of folks in Charleston. Not to mention fresh produce, crepes, pickle samples, music, art, herbs, and cute jewelry. The Marion Square Farmer’s Market re-opens Sat. April 11 at 8 a.m., offering an even larger variety of food items this year such as waffles, barbecue, po’ boys, pies, and more. At 10:30 a.m. on April 11, the 2009 poster image, “Watermelon Sky,” will be unveiled, followed by live music by the local bluegrass band the South Carolina Broadcasters, who will perform until 1:30. The market will be held every Saturday up to December 19. —Anna Linesch
