The Charleston Farmers Market promotes local produce and local farmers — a worthy goal — but the vendors aren’t selling all local stuff — which is fine, I guess. If they sold only local stuff, we’d have a pretty limited supply of vegetables right about now. But I don’t like being misled by vendors. They should sell what they say they’re selling.
Case in point: see picture of a Guatemalan canteloupe (says so right there on the sticker). See masking tape below melon that touts these as Florida melons? 
Yeah, not cool. And to make it worse, this melon being passed off as a Floridian for $4 was on sale at Harris Teeter — buy one get one free for $3.49.
