abd3/1239741162-strawberry.jpgJoin around 8,000 strawberry connoisseurs at Boone Hall Plantation for the annual Lowcountry Strawberry Festival April 18-19. Bring along the whole family to enjoy riding slides, a giant ferris wheel, the Berry Go-Round, and a carriage tour around the plantation. There will also be live entertainment, games, a Strawberry Festival Recipe Contest, a pie-eating contest, and the Miss Berry Princess 2009 contest for all the little girls hoping to hold that title. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children. Don’t forget that you can pick your own fresh strawberries until June. For more information call (843) 884-4371. —Emma Hart
