Recently a local reporter for a local TV station anchored her regular weekly feature in which the local citizenry who have issues with traffic scofflaws can call her station and they will coordinate with the local gendarmes to set up traffic enforcement. This past March she was in my subdivision, in an unicorporated area of Berkeley County just east of Flowertown. Luckily for me, I had a heads up and did not do my Dale Earnhart tribute while on my way home after a hard night of computer-work. However, several of my neighbors DID get pulled and ticketed. What angers me is this reporter’s attitude…she chastised and smugly talked-down to the various victims of vigilante video justice. It is bad enough to receive a ticket on the way to work, having the increase in insurance and the delays, but to have some snotty smug attention sponge humiliate you is beyond acceptible.
She has no right to question anyone-she is not a cop, she is not a lawyer.
What I find amusing is when I went to the Charleston County clerk of court site and looked her up in the public records search under criminal and traffic cases, I find she herself has a history! Probably got caught speeding in her beemer!
