The staff of Mellow Mushroom and Jeremiah Weed threw one of the parties they’ve become known for Thursday night aboard the multi-million dollar yacht, the Carolina Girl. Thanks to Captain Bob, guests had nothing to worry about besides enjoying plenty of cocktails, keg beer, and dancing. Departing from Ripley’s Point, the Carolina Girl circled the Charleston harbor and crossed under the Cooper River Bridge just as the sun set, providing a spectacular backdrop for the night. After dark, Rocky Horror picked up the already blasting beats on the top deck of the boat, and with a little liquid courage, many hit the dance floor despite the difficulty of keeping steady footing with the rocking of the boat. Teacher’s Supply Closet will reap the benefits of the sold-out affair, providing school supplies for local teachers who often have to foot the bill themselves. Anything to help, teach.
