Shine, one of the swankiest new places in town, plans to add lunch to its repertoire, beginning Tues. May 26. Owner Dean Johnson says the menu will be much like the dinner menu but with more sandwich and salad choices. He says their most popular dinner menu item — arepas (Venezuelan corncakes with pulled pork, saffrito, black beans, avocado, and cheese) — will be available at lunch along with curry dishes.

“It’s basically the same approach as dinner, but pared down a bit.”

They will stay open between lunch and dinner for those impromptu late afternoon drinks.

They’ve also got plans to host an all-day music and arts festival on Sat. May 23 being curated by Jeffery Rhodes of the Margo Kaufman Gallery.

Shine is located at 58 Line St. (843) 724-6789
