Nine months ago, beloved Rutledge Avenue cafe Granville’s closed its doors, leaving Hampton Park/Wagener Terrace/North Central residents a little depressed every time they drove by the empty but still chic-looking storefront.

Early this month, however, we started spotting people at the outdoor tables and a chalkboard out front announcing nightly hours.

We spoke with management, and they are indeed open again, with slightly reduced hours. They’re serving dinner Tuesday through Friday from 5-10 p.m. and Sunday brunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. (These hours allow them to still focus on their catering business). Expect the vibe to be a little more laid-back, and the menu to change daily depending on what’s fresh and available — stuff like frites with au poivre sauce or smoked paprika aioli ginger ($4), ginger ale-braised pork belly with grilled honeydew melon ($8), and seasonal daily fish ($16).

Bring your pup too — they’ll even prepare a meal for them! Stop by 730 Rutledge Avenue and for more info call (843) 577-0486 or go to granvillescafeandcatering.com
