Adam Richman and his crew from Man v. Food television show will be filming tonight at Bowen’s Island Restaurant. They are in town taping a show for their Travel Channel series, which chronicles an area’s local culture before Richman takes on the city’s toughest food challenge. We assume the Homewrecker he ate last night at The RiverDogs game was the challenge and the oysters at Bowens Island qualify as the local culture. Or maybe not, a couple City Paper folks ran into him last night and he said they’ll be spending the day at Bushido filming on Friday (maybe my suggestion wasn’t so bad after all!).

If you want to witness the taping and see what it’s all about, head to Bowen’s between 6-7:30 p.m. They’ll be on the dock.

Richman’s been in Charleston since Sunday, according to his tweets:

“Charleston, South Carolina … You’re hitting my spot. Please, Don’t stop. Right there. Oh yeah. Oh yeah, Charleston. Just like that.”

“Joyous nuptials to Harrison and Mandy of Charleston,SC! Thanks for a great night for me and the MvF crew!”

“Charleston, SC. I love you ever so much. Just what the doctor ordered. Shout out to Mike on Market St. For rec of Tsunami Sushi!”
