The Footlight Players recently announced their 78th season, featuring both the timeless classics of their Mainstage productions, and the more edgy offerings of their LateNight Series. Kicking things off in August is Neil Simon’s whodunit Rumors, followed by Frost/Nixon in October, and The Sound of Music just in time for Christmas. Starting off 2010 is The Miracle Worker, the story of Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan. In March, look for Alan Ball’s comedy 5 Women Wearing the Same Dress, and then closing out the season is A Class Act in May. The adult-oriented LateNight Series begins in October with Annoyance, from the creator of Saved by the Bell. In February, The Altruists offers a gallery of hypocrites, and in April, Eat the Runt is the “ultimate identity comedy.” Call (843) 722-4487 to order your season tickets early.
