Did you know that once upon a time, the personable host of Lowcountry Live — Ryan Nelson — not only interned at the Charleston City Paper but worked behind the bar at King Street Grille? Well now you know. And she’s putting her dormant drink-slinging skills to work tonight on behalf of the Ronald McDonald House.

Ryan will be joined by Brad Franko of Channel 2 and Sheldon Dutes from Channel 5 at Triangle Char and Bar in West Ashley tonight. They’ll serve your drinks between 5 and 8 p.m. and your tips to them will go directly to the Ronald McDonald House, a place that helps critically ill kids and their families. Triangle will also be featuring plenty of drink specials as an incentive for you to order up.

Oh, and wear your red shoes. This event is the kickoff event for the Red Shoe Society: A Young Professionals Council, which hopes to engage and connect both existing and future young professionals in the Greater Charleston Area to promote philanthropy and leadership while building a general awareness of the Ronald McDonald House.
