If you were a fan of Blend, the ambitious little cafe that served the MUSC community, you’ll be happy to hear the former chef/proprietor Matthew Niessner has landed at Halls Chophouse. Niessner will take over for Chef Scott Blackerby who “left to go home to Nashville, Tenn., to be with his wife after doing an amazing job getting us open,” according to an e-mail from Billy Hall. Before Blend, Niessner worked out at Kiawah for many years.
