Last summer, legendary rock singer/songwriter Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band toured through the Carolinas in support of a new album titled Magic, making a memorable stop at the North Charleston Coliseum on Aug. 16. This summer, the Boss and co. are heading back this way with a concert at the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville on Wed. Sept. 16. Tickets for general admission floor seats go on sale at 10 a.m. on Fri. July 31. They may be purchased online at and, all Ticketmaster outlets, and by phone at 1-800-745-3000.

The forthcoming double-album Working on a Dream, Springsteen’s twenty-fourth collection, was recorded and mixed at Southern Tracks in Atlanta, with additional recording in New York City, Los Angeles, and New Jersey. Limited CD/DVD edition include a bonus DVD that contains 30 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage on the making of the album. It is the fourth collaboration between Springsteen and studio wiz Brendan O’Brien.

“Towards the end of recording Magic, excited by the return to pop production sounds, I continued writing,” Springsteen says in a recent press release. “When my friend producer Brendan O’Brien heard the new songs, he said, ‘Let’s keep going.’ Over the course of the next year, that’s just what we did, recording with the E Street Band during the breaks on last year’s tour. I hope Working on a Dream has caught the energy of the band fresh off the road from some of the most exciting shows we’ve ever done. All the songs were written quickly, we usually used one of our first few takes, and we all had a blast making this one from beginning to end.”
