Are you currently interested in the production end of the film industry? The S.C. Film Commission is hosting a free workshop to introduce Movie Magic, a budgeting and scheduling software program used by filmmakers. Led by producer Richard Guay (Independent Spirit Award-winner Ghost Dog and Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner True Love), the workshop will take place Sat. Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Trident Technical College’s Complex for Economic Development. At the end of the workshop, Entertainment Partners VP, Joe Chianese will also be on hand to discuss film incentives in the U.S. and around the world. Movie Magic will be available for $99. Only 100 participants are allowed, and registration is required. To register and get more info go to scfilmoffice.com/seminars/index.asp or call Noel Hill at (803) 734-1779.
