While West Ashley was sad to see Amuse shut its doors last month, locals didn’t have to wait very long for a new restaurant to come along.

Grindz Burgers & Brew opened up shop last week with a grand opening on Tuesday. The new restaurant features signature burgers that you’re sure to find nowhere else in the Lowcountry, and with a slogan like “If you grind it, they will come,” you can bet they’re taking this burger stuff seriously.

A few that caught our eye are the Texas Hold Em’, a sliced Pepper Jack Cheese, spicy BBQ sauce, red onions, bacon, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato and spicy ranch dressing, and the Acropolis, which comes topped with feta cheese, tomato, chopped black olives, thinly sliced cucumbers, and yogurt sauce. While we’re still wondering how that many ingredients fit together, it doesn’t really matter as long as there’s plenty of cold beer to wash it all down. They open daily at 11 a.m. for lunch and stay open into the wee hours of 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. What a perfect combination it all seems, especially when you consider their many big screen TV’s, just in time for football season.
