Theater junkies and neophytes alike rejoice at the return of Charleston’s 3rd Annual Free Night of Theater. Five local theaters will offer free tickets to their plays, with tickets up for grabs Oct. 1.

The League of Charleston Theatres and Theatre Communications group sponsor the event in order to increase audiences, make plays more accessible, and bring new types of people to the theater. Meanwhile, over 75,000 tickets will be given out for free across the nation.

Included plays this year are Charleston Stage’s Blithe Spirit, The Footlight Players’ Frost Nixon, Midtown/Sheri Grace Wenger’s Graceland, PURE Theatre’s Up, and The Village Playhouse’s Mauritius.

Tickets go on sale at noon on Thurs. Oct. 1, and they will sell out quickly, so have your mouse at the ready. You’ll find all the info you need at the League of Charleston Theatre’s website.
