Loooking for a foodie weekend escape? The Third Annual Upstate On-Farm Dinner will be held this Sunday, Oct. 4 in Gray Cloud, S.C. at the Red Fern Farm.

All the foods are locally grown and produced and will be prepared by some of the best chefs in upstate South Carolina: Joe Clarke of American Grocery; Steve Leitch of Brasserie-Ecosse; Joey Pesner of The Cliffs at Keowee Falls; Katie Tillman & Valerie Lowe of Friends at the Cove; and Joe Fredette of Summa Joe’s Searing Pans.

In addition to a delicious meal, guests can tour the Red Fern Farm, and participate in an Ark of Taste champagne and hors d’oeuvres reception beginning at 4 p.m. The dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

The Carolina Farm Stewardship Association, with Whole Foods as a sponsor, is taking reservations for the limited-seating event. Tickets are $50 for the Ark of Taste tour and $100 for the dinner.

Proceeds will go to the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association, a nonprofit organization that educates farmers on the benefits of a locally-sourced and sustainable food system in South Carolina. Make your reservations by calling (919) 542-2402 or by visiting the CFSA’s website at www.carolinafarmstewards.org.
