Charleston’s French Quarter is set to take one more step toward contemporary. Bailey Bial, a recent College of Charleston graduate, plans to open Contempo, a contemporary co-op, at 102 Church St. “We are providing prime gallery space for young contemporary artists to display and sell their artwork,” she says in a release. Artists can expect monthly fees of $150-$200, plus commission. Call (704) 796-6051 or e-mail baybial@gmail.com for more info.
