This just in: Charleston-based pop-rock act Band of Horses are solid for an off-night holiday gig at the Music Farm on Mon. Dec. 28. Singer/guitarist Ben Bridwell and his current bandmates — drummer Creighton Barrett, bassist Bill Reynolds, keyboardist Ryan Monroe, and new guitar player Ludwig Böss — are warming up for a two-night New Year’s stint in Atlanta at the Tabernacle on Dec. 30-31.

The Band of Horses conducted several extensive North American and European tours this year. They also worked on an independent follow-up to 2007’s acclaimed Cease to Begin in the Echo Mountain Recording facility in Asheville, N.C. They share the stage with local indie-rock band CO. Show time is 8 p.m. Tickets are available for $20 at the door and $18 in advance (at etix.com and musicfarm.com).
